                                                      Beijing in the smog

Protecting the Earth, Water, and Air from ourselves appears to be an oxymoronic statement. However, with the population boom, deforestation, new epidemics, toxic industrial waste and air pollution, new and innovative solutions are needed to cope with these phenomena. Environmental volunteers are an ever-growing consciousness of people that view environmental problems as our problems. Involving volunteers in environmental projects is a great way to tackle environmental issues as well as offering people the chance to experience the physical and mental health benefits of connecting with nature. Whether they are increasing the air quality in the Beijing, working with water conservationist in Colorado or planting trees in Nepal, these individuals have decided to be a part of the solution. When a group of volunteers is organized and dedicated, they have the ability to place emphasis the needs of their communities. Such as ensuring that any development does not adversely affect the quality of the land, water, and air in their neighborhoods.
