Confusion can be described as an event where a person loses their orientation. In this state, the confused patient often experiences a loss of memory. Delirium, on the other hand, is defined as a 'short-term" state of confusion. Delirium is typically accompanied by altered consciousness.
Offsite Care will host this conference on Confusion and Delirium, presented by Dr. James K Gude Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
