The most widely prescribed anticoagulant in North America is coumadin. Initially developed as a rat toxin, in the 1940's, it usefulness in preventing blood clots lead to coumadin being approved by the FDA for use in humans in 1956. On Wednesday, March 9, 2016, Dr. James Gude will present a case presentation on "Coumadin Induced Coagulopathy".
