The bacteria Treponema pallidum causes syphilis. Once thought to be under control, this sexually transmitted disease(STD) is making a comeback.
Syphilis can be spread through prolong kissing or during sexual intercourse. Many infected asymptomatic individuals, may unknowingly pass it on their partners.
