Volunteers4Humanity is proud to work with Citibank, as we initiate various community projects.
In February 2014, the organization launched its "Computer Learning Night" aimed at providing computer access to the children of families living below the poverty line. We are requesting the donation of "used laptops" that will be disseminated to homes where there is no access to a computer.(Receipt of donated items provided)
Later this April, the organization will begin its monthly health screenings at it's Clovis Office. We will take your vital signs and distribute pamphlets on maintaining homeostasis. There will also be medical professional in attendance to answer your questions or we can refer you to a specialist.
The central valley of California has the highest birthrate within California and 2nd highest in the United States. Thus highlighting an area of concern. In May 2014, the organization will begin a series of talks on "Analgesic options for laboring moms". We are elated to provide this "free service". Please contact us if your facility/organization/school would like one of our team members to provide a lecture on this topic at your institution.
In Late August 2014, our team of medical professionals and volunteers will travel abroad to provide free medical and dental care to an impoverished area of the world. Please check the blog and website for additional information on the dates and location of this worthwhile mission. You can also view our previous mission at www.mission2lira.org
