In a hypertensive crisis, providing measures to acutely decrease the patient's blood pressure is of paramount importance. Manifestations of a brain disease or damage are termed encephalopathy. Although there are many causes of encephalopathy, the vast majority of cases result from decreased oxygen flow to the brain, infection, liver injury, or kidney failure. As a follow-up to last week's seminar on encephalopathy, on this Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 8-9am PST Dr J.K. Gude will present a case discussion on Hypertensive Encephalopathy. Please review the time in your international location for this presentation.
