Myasthenia gravis(MG) is a disorder involving the use and control of your nerves and muscles. It is more commonly seen in women and usually presents between the ages of 40-60. Although anyone can be affected by this disease. Common symptoms of MG include drooping eyelid(ptosis), weakness of muscles, difficulty swallowing and seeing double. There are medications available to help improved muscle strenght, but there is no cure. On Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 8-9am PST Dr. Henry Ogbuehi, MBBS, FWACS, FMCOph (Consultant Ophthalmologist) supported by Neurology unit headed by Dr. E. Chapp-Jumbo will present a case discussion on MYASTHENIA GRAVIS.
